Virginia Beach is For Lovers

August 30th, 2011

If you are stumped on trying to figure out where you are going to vacation in the United States this summer, consider Virginia Beach as a viable option. Dubbed with the logo, “Virginia Beach is for lovers,” Virginia Beach is located in the state of Virginia along the eastern coast of Virginia that borders the Atlantic Ocean. If you have never been to Virginia Beach, you are truly missing out on one of the better beaches that hug the eastern coast of the United States.

In my experience, especially coming from Long Island, Virginia Beach is a subset or a smaller area of Virginia that is definitely close to everything. If you think about it, there is a good reason why each and every year, you can hardly find a reservation opening for anything in the area, and that’s because of the prime location that Virginia Beach is in. Virginia Beach is located just miles away from the popular areas of Arlington, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland and the even more popular Washington D.C. area. Not only this, but once you get to the Beach of Virginia, it’s like stepping into a total beach town where there is nothing but great hotels, quaint little stores and gift shops, restaurants and miles of boardwalk area that stretch on complete with cyclists, people walking and of course people heading out to the beach.

In order to include these historic sites in a student travel tour, advanced planning is required. Usually, I advise educational travel groups to plan one year ahead for trips to the Washington D.C. area. Depending upon the site visited, special advance procedures to clear student visitors may be required.

An educational travel company needs to be retained to plan and execute an effective itinerary for Washington D.C. If popular historic or governmental sites in Northern Virginia are requested, the itinerary will accommodate these sites on one special day, or combine them effectively with other destinations on the student tour.
